Our Logo

While designing the logo I wanted to ensure I honour my roots, my place of work and acknowledge the land I live on. Uday in Sanskrit means dawn or rising sun. रे – Ray symbolizes the sun’s rays written in Hindi script. My wife and I immigrated to Canada in 2009 and we are blessed and grateful for everything this beautiful country has given us. I am a proud Canadian today but also value and respect my Indian roots.

Once upon a time I was a chef working crazy hours at some of the most luxurious and top-rated hotels across the world. I was young, ambitious, and wanted to pursue my passion in culinary arts and science. Surprisingly, I realized due to commercialization and the increasing demand to cater to larger volumes, the art and science in culinary diminished.

Today, I am a proud dad of two little boys, a happy husband, a blessed son, brother, and a friend. I value a balance, wholesome life filled with peace and contentment. In 2014, I met with an almost fatal accident which changed my perception of life. I must say I’ve dabbled and tried my luck in various other industries but realized my interests and what drives me the most is my love to create wholesome, delicious, healthy, satisfying food that people will not only consume but also relish.

Uday's Food Factory a.k.a UFF

You might wonder why I choose this name. As a kid I was fascinated with the world of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Imagine a space that focused just on chocolate!! Just like Wonka and Willie I too found happiness in chocolate! During the pandemic it dawned on me that starting something of my own and creating foods that people would cherish would not only make me happy but could potentially turn into a lucrative business. That’s where the concept of UFF began.
